In a world where reality is hard to define, Untruth exists to tell non-fiction stories rooted in truth. Working across film, broadcast and branded, we create deeply human stories with a cinematic aesthetic. Led by award-winning documentary Filmmaker Matt Hopkins, Untruth creates work which exists in the cracks between cinema and broadcast.
Our film projects include the award-winning ‘England Your England’ which has been running since 2013 and has won numerous awards at film festivals as well as picking up 2 coveted Vimeo Staff Picks. Our most recent commission, The Film I’ll Never See' is a co-production for BBC One with Signpost Films which has been in production for 3 years and due for release in summer 2025. We currently also have the long-form documentary 'The Punk Runner' in development', following up on the feature doc 'A Divorce Before Marriage' which was released in 2016.
